Two Layers
In the world many things disappear just over night. I divided this world from the artist's perspective into two layers of things that disappear and things yet to disappear and print them on dissoluble and non dissoluble papers and composed on screen. As a work that captures the extinction process of layers printed on dissoluble papers on the screen, it demonstrates the process of subjects disappearing inanely just under 1minute and elicits contemplation on the accelerated life.
하룻밤 사이에도 수많은 것들이 세상의 속도를 이기지 못하고 사라진다. 이런 세상을 예술가의 시선으로 사라지는 것과 아직 사라지지 않은 것 두 가지 layer로 나눠 물에 녹는 종이와 녹지 않는 종이에 프린트하여 한 화면을 구성하였다. 이렇게 구성한 화면에서 물에 녹는 종이에 프린트한 layer의 소멸 과정을 담은 작업으로 1분이 채 되지 않은 시간 안에 대상이 허무하게 사라져버리는 과정을 보여주어 가속화된 삶에 대한 고찰을 유도한다.
